some not good news

I know this is getting repetitive, but it's been a long absence. I just hope not a soon forgotten!
I received some news about my G11 but unfortunately not the best ones. The technician said that he is having some problems with what is called the brain of the camera, which means that the messages that were supposed to be going some place is getting lost. The screen is still not working and maybe will never do again. I know it's sad, but as my mother would say, what cannot be solved, it's solved already. I could not enjoy it as much as I would like to, but I will try my best to move on and keep living (drama queen). The good new is that I might get a new one as Christmas present AND it can be a better one.
I am opened to suggestions, do you have any? I would love the hear from you.
